"Services: Demolition of existing driveway and sidewalk. Install New sidewalk and side of house access walkway and pad.
Brad Sherrill (sales), Brian Phaup (project manager), Miguel and crew were great to work with.
Prompt, organized, and available to answer questions and concerns. From the on-site estimation process, demolition, construction and finishing of the concrete.
When you check Angi or Facebook, and look at the work, the pictures speak for themselves, however, the professional attitude and willingness to accommodate questions and recommendations were on point.
This company has legit hands on concrete construction experience, and pays attention to details and makes note of customer concerns. Together Brad, Brian and I found many things that needed to be addressed, with a new driveway and sidewalk install. One detail in particular was the adding of rebar between the garage floor and driveway to help manage expansion.
My impression,
This company goes out of there way to ensure customer satisfaction.
We were replacing our original 30 year old driveway, which was cracked over time, and had the water meter precariously placed in the driveway (which we recently had moved to the yard).
We solicited 6 quotes. The Mcghee quote from Brad was right inline with another reasonable quote we received. In fact one week before the pour, we changed snd added more to the side of the house.
The decision to choose Mcghee really came down to my gut decision, and confidence level of success of which company would show up and do a great job to “my expectations”. (I have been told I am picky.)
McGhee “EXCEEDED” my expectations !
When the project manager tells you they will be on site and ready to work at 6:30a, then shows up at 6:20a
THESE GUYS ARE SERIOUS !
When we prepared the side yard, we took into consideration the utilities and my irrigation system. We planned ahead.
Big shout out to lead man, Miguel, who ran the bobcat, kept the crew working, made sure the concrete finish was pristine.
We had a fence already installed and the concrete was going to be higher than the bottom of the gate swing.
Miguel didn’t miss a detail. Miguel, Brian and I worked together to shorten the gate…..at night at the end of the job, so we could secure our yard for our dogs while the concrete cures. As I am writing this survey, I hear the rain that was predicted to last the rest of the week.
Concrete done right is NOT Cheap.
If I had to do it over again, I think I would choose April / May because the days are longer, and the crew could have more light. However, I would STILL CHOOSE McGhee for the job.
My neighbors have been admiring the great job and asking about the work already. Typically, I am not a big fan of companies leaving yard signs. This is an exception.
I plan to leave the McGhee company sign proudly displayed all week!
I highly recommend Mcghee for all of the reasons stated previously and the pictures provided.
Great Work Guys !
Thanks for your partnership."
